Debby Lennon, a name synonymous with captivating musical prowess, has left an indelible mark on the world of music with her extraordinary talent and versatile performances. With a career spanning decades, Debby has established herself as a prominent figure in the realms of classical, jazz, and musical theater.
Debby's journey began with a resounding debut, as she took center stage with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra in the Carnegie Hall premiere of William Bolcom's "Songs of Innocence and Experience" in 1992. The Boston Globe hailed her as "brassily irresistible," setting the stage for a series of remarkable achievements.
Debby's voice has resonated across diverse musical landscapes. She has graced the stage as a featured soloist with esteemed ensembles such as the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, The New Music Circle, The New York City Gay Men's Chorus, and more. Her collaborative spirit has led her to perform alongside renowned groups like The Tommy Money Orchestra, Bob Coleman's Legacy Big Band, and The Space Coast Pops with Richard Hayman.
During her tenure with the nationally acclaimed a cappella vocal jazz ensemble "Pieces of 8" from 1992 to 1999, Debby showcased her vocal prowess, solidifying her position as a foundational member.
Debby's operatic journey has been equally impressive. She has graced many stages, including Winter Opera, Opera Theater of St. Louis, and Union Avenue Opera. Notable roles include Annina in "Traviata" and Giovanna in "Rigoletto," both directed by Tim Ocel.

Debby’s theatrical finesse was showcased in Max and Louie's 2016 production of "Grey Gardens," where she shone brilliantly in the lead role, earning her a trifecta of awards: the Judy Award, Broadway World Award, and The St. Louis Circle Award.
Debby's influence reaches far beyond the stage. She devoted herself to nurturing young talent as the director of the Variety Children's Chorus. Additionally, Debby celebrates over two decades as a full adjunct voice professor and director of The Vocal Jazz Program and The Webster Jazz Singers at Webster University. Her impact extends to many schools where she imparts her wisdom as a vocal coach for countless students.
